Time is flying...

I'm Back!!!
I am seriously struggling with staying up to date with my life via this little blog. My weeks and weekends have been non-stop for months now, but I have a phone full of photos to help me back track long enough to write out some fun events I've encountered recently!

Lets go back to early September:

Event#1-Football...FSU football is my event every Saturday during football season! We have lost 3 big games, which was sad, but we are ending the season with mostly wins!

Event #2-Work...wow, so much in such a short amount of time! I am blown away with all I have learned and staffed in my job! My first big event was staffing the Republican Party's P5 event. I was able to watch the behind the scenes of a huge event and help out with the organization of the event! I also got to attend the Fox News Debate. Pretty neat, I must say!!!

Event #3-MY BIRTHDAY!!! I turned 25 this year...getting old!!! I didn't actually do to much for my birthday this year because I was at P5 with work! My co-workers and my sweet aunt took me to dinner and we had a great time catching up and take a break from "too much work"!!!

Event #4-Between football games and work, Chris and I managed to be matched for Big Brother/Big Sister and meet our Littles...they are fantastic siblings (Reagan & Harrison) who honestly are perfect for us. We have done fun activities with them and their fun family every week since meeting them!!!

Event #5-Junior League is a recent organization that I have signed up to volunteer for and while I have done some meaningful volunteerism, I am also able to attend fun socials with some cool ladies! One that I did for the start of football season was a cake decorating class and low & behold it was a FSU cake theme!

Yes, I promise I made that!!!

Ok, that was September...up next...October in bullet form too!

Past Weekend Ramblings

I attended my friend's daughter's 1st birthday and the days before the actual party I was asking everyone what you actually get a 1 year old. I was clueless and my sweet friend was no help saying that baby Emily needed nothing...I knew that wasn't going to happen...so I ended up at the bookstore and spend 30 minutes walking up and down the kids aisles. I finally purchased a Disney Princess book with all the bedtime stories and figure it would be a cool gift for both baby Emily and big sister Olivia...maybe some special bonding time?
Haha, worth a shot, right?!

The party was fun as I was able to catch up with friends from middle school and all their sweet babies! Baby Emily was a huge fan of her cake...

Isn't that hilarious? Baby girl loves cake!!

Her she is all clean!

After the party I hightailed it to the stadium to tailgate a little before our 2nd game! My friend Katie joined Ma and me and we had a great time...the best part was that our Noles won!!!

Busy weekends, but oh so much fun!!!

More to come!!

Labor Day Weekend 2011

Yep, I am that far behind in blogland! Good news...I still remember what happened this weekend!

First, it was my hubby's 27th birthday! Nothing major planned because I am a major slacker and work has become my main focus, but I did find him some new gym clothes which he desperately needed. The boy works out almost everyday and had like 2 pairs of gym shorts...yeah...explain that one!!

All weekend we had some nasty weather that was welcomed by us. The temperature outside had dropped to a comfortable level and we cleaned up our screen porch and used it for the first time all year!

Nothing better than a thunderstorm, candles and a book!

And of course, Hudson!

While at a friend's labor day party with my mom, her house was hit hard:

Luckily nothing was to damaged, but just a pain to deal with.

The weather did clear up long enough for a great football game! Our Noles won the first game by a long shot! It was a blast!

I laid out my outfit while I was getting ready and came back in my bedroom to find Hudson laying on my garnet shirt...He was just trying to be the "gold" in my outfit :)

This was taken for my sister who is missing her first season of FSU football due to her "big girl" job!

Supporting the hubby and bought Chickfila at the game! Love having yummy food to stuff my face with!

Look at that tongue!

We had a great, long weekend and I cant believe it is already the end of September! Time is flying!

Kayaking

Well, there is a first for everything and kayaking was a first for me! I must say, I really enjoyed it! I didn't do much of the rowing, but I tried it and figured it out. Chris did most of the work so I could "hang out"!

Our goal was to have a relaxing Saturday...the weather was perfect, the beverages were chilled and the scenery was beautiful!

This was our stop at Blue Springs and it was gorgeous. We found a floating dock and tied up to it so we could get out and swim. The water was naturally freezing, but once we got in and got numb it felt great! :)

Isn't that pretty! Hard to capture the true beauty on my little iPhone camera, but I honestly just enjoyed staring into the clear water and seeing all of the massive creations below.

I have been wanting to advance my outdoorsy side and I think this was a great start...up next is hiking of some sort...maybe camping! Ha, I doubt that!!!!

And to end my fun kayaking trip...look what I came home too:

Sweet boy was such a cuddler!

Painting with a Twist

Last night was a ladies night out with my co-workers and we painted!!! I hate painting, but was super excited about this painting class because it was Paint Your Pet. We all sent in our favorite picture of our sweet pups and they drew the outline for us.

Here is the beginning stages:

At this point I had only painted the background. It was stressful! I had to do two coats and I honestly thought that brown background would never look even!

After plenty of help with painting the actual dog and learning to shadow to the best of my ability, I think it turned out quite nicely:

Let me just say...this was hard! I freaked a few times thinking I had ruined the picture, but white paint is my friend and covers up any mistakes!!!

Here are the final canvases with all of our pups:

This was such a fun way to enjoy each others company and come home with a keepsake! Yes, my painting is already hanging in my house!!
